FTC Announces Second Public Forum on Occupational Licensing

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has announced it will hold a second public forum on occupational licensing and competition.  The FTC has instituted a major program initiative questioning the need and purposes of various occupational licensing laws, particularly focusing on their potential negative effects on competition and on consumers in terms of prices, access, and quality of services.  To read the FTC announcement and summary of its occupational licensing public forum, use the first link below.  To read the FTC general information on occupational licensing and competition, use the second link below.
