Call for Nominations
The New York State Dental Foundation is seeking nominations for its 2009 Foundations of Excellence Awards in the following four categories:
Research: In recognition for commitment to applying creative, science-based methods to foster greater understanding of and to improve overall oral health.
Past Winners: Dr. Regina Landesberg (2005); Dr. Alice Horowitz (2006); Daniel H. Fine, DMD (2008).
Academics: In recognition for having demonstrated creative and innovative use of science curricula to teach oral health.
Past Winners: Dr. Regina Landesberg (2005); Michael Alfano, DDS (2006); Allan Formicola, DDS (2008).
Community Service: In recognition for fostering improved oral health care for individuals, particularly underserved and at risk populations, through advocacy efforts that emphasize education and prevention and foster ongoing partnerships among a wide spectrum of stakeholders.
Past Winners: Assemblyman Adriano Espaillat (2005); Dr.
Corporate Leadership Award: In recognition for exemplary leadership which demonstrates a deep commitment to innovative initiatives that not only empower employees and communities but advance strategic business interests.
Past Winners: Michael Sudzina (2006),
