A Political Action Committee (PAC) is an organization that collects voluntary contributions from members and uses those funds to support political candidates or initiatives that align with the group’s goals. In the case of NYSDAPAC, we pool the resources of New York’s dentists to advocate for laws and policies that benefit the dental profession, patients, and public health across the state. PACs are a powerful way to ensure that the voices of professionals are heard in the political process.

NYSDAPAC is managed by the NYSDA Board of Trustees, ensuring that all decisions and funds are aligned with the association’s goals. Our PAC is non-partisan, and financial decisions are based on the policies and voting records of candidates, focusing on issues that matter to dentists, patients, and public health in New York. A professional Treasurer, with extensive experience in PAC management, oversees the finances and compliance with the New York State Board of Elections.

Contributions to NYSDAPAC come from NYSDA member dues and individual donations. We are currently creating a link for individual contributions, which will be available soon. These funds are strategically used to support state candidates who share our commitment to advancing the dental profession and protecting patient care. Your support helps maximize the impact of our advocacy efforts.

Each year, New York’s state legislature introduces hundreds of bills that can impact our patients, our practices, our profession, and public health. NYSDAPAC combines the resources of dentists across New York to make a substantial impact on state policy and ensure the interests of our members are protected.

Members of NYSDA who are U.S. citizens or permanent Green Card holders residing in the U.S. are eligible to participate in NYSDAPAC. This includes New York-based dental professionals who are committed to shaping policies that impact the dental community. Contributions from NYSDA dues, along with additional donations, will fund the PAC, enabling members to actively support NYSDA's political advocacy efforts.
