“I joined NYSDA for continued professional development, the benefits of organized dentistry, networking and advocacy. The benefits of organized dentistry are endless! Change, improvements, policy advancement, occurs only when we work together and understand trends within practice and the effects they may be having on our practice. We are more powerful when we band together and use our voices for change!” – Dr. Raquel Rozdolski

The first few years out of dental school are exciting, but also filled with questions and anxieties. You've got a lot on your plate. NYSDA recognizes the challenges New Dentists face, and has created a Survival Guide Series of webinars to address the topics on your mind. NYSDA hosted a series of five interactive sessions with experts in each field, including colleagues who have been in your shoes. Learn more.
Transferring From Another State?
Welcome to New York! We can easily transfer your current membership from another state to New York.
You will need to submit an online transfer application with all your new contact information and will take care of the rest.
Retired Membership
Congratulations on your retirement! Now it's time to update your membership status. All members who are retired and not earning an income from dentistry or working in a position that requires a dental license should contact your local component to let them know about your retirement. You may eligible for a much deserved membership discount. Once approved, an adjusted renewal will be sent to you.
Life Membership
Life Membership is automatically granted to current members who have at least 30 consecutive or 40 total years of membership. Life status then becomes effect in the following membership year. New Life members should expect to receive a note regarding Life status from the ADA in the late spring/early summer.
Temporary and Permanent Waivers
Often an unexpected, yet temporary, health or financial setback will keep from being able to pay your full dues invoice. If this is the case, contact your local component to request a dues waiver form for consideration. Once approved, an adjusted renewal will be sent to you if dues are still applicable.
Membership Fees
Value is important. Saving you money, providing the best services and assisting you with the business of being a dentist are some of the ways we demonstrate that value.
Your total dues payment includes membership in the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and your local component dental association or society. This gains you access to every benefit, at every level. As the state association, we are responsible for all dues billing. Learn more.
