Dentists can now submit Medicare claims electronically

As of July 1, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) now accepts and processes dental claims electronically, streamlining the Medicare Payment System. This switch to the 837D electronic system could save providers up to $1.5 billion annually by reducing administrative tasks. Medicare dentists are encouraged to work with their contractors to start submitting claims electronically.
