Virtual Sessions

Being a successful advocate isn’t restricted to being in the halls of the Capitol. This year, NYSDA will be hosting two advocacy events virtually. The first session, NYSDA Leadership will present this year’s legislative priorities, giving legislators a preview of what issues we'll be discussing over the next few months. The second, will be during the final days of the 2025 Session. During this Session, we’ll be speaking with oral health champions in the Legislature about what we were able to accomplish and which measures we’ll continue advocating for in 2026.

In-Person Sessions

This year, NYSDA will host three in-person advocacy events, each will be focused on a single, key topic: Workforce, Dental Insurance Reform, and Access to Care. Each in-person event will be limited to 20 attendees or less. By keeping our groups small, we can facilitate more personalized and impactful discussions with legislative leaders, bill sponsors and gateway staff. These sessions will provide attendees the opportunity to directly advocate for the dental profession and discuss how these legislative priorities impact you.

Participating in In-Person Events

Individuals interested in participating in one of the (3) in-person advocacy events must submit this form by February 4 . Attendees will be chosen via random lottery and will be notified by February 7 regarding the date/topic in which they were selected. Individuals will have until close of business on February 12 to confirm their availability. A waitlist will be formed for each event. If for any reason, initially selected members are unable to attend an event, a new member will be selected at random and notified.

Take Action Campaigns

Accompanying each in-person event will be a Take Action campaign utilizing our grassroots digital advocacy platform. For NYSDA members looking to advocate from afar – this is your chance to reach out directly to your elected officials and other legislative stakeholders about the bills and financial support we’re seeking.
